Even being separated from Ukraine by thousands of miles, knowing your family is there, makes you live in fear every day. You get consumed by the news, hoping for good news, but expecting the absolute worst.

My entire family is in Kyiv and recently even the capital has been under attack. They try to live their normal lives, while russia attempts to wipe out the Ukrainian population.  They find new ways to survive without electricity, heat, and essential items, while also helping our defenders. The continued support from the world is one of the things that has kept Ukraine afloat during this russian invasion. All we can do at this time is donate, whatever we can, to help end this war.

Thank you to everyone who has donated & supported Ukraine in their fight for freedom. Together we will win.

This is in an elevator in a residential building . The post-it note says "in case you get stuck". The bag has diapers, cookies, and water (very wholesome 😪). Every elevator has one, since it might take rescue crews a while to get there, to get you unstuck. Some buildings are 20-40 stories high so people use elevators even though electricity can go out at any time/you can get stuck.

There is no electricity in Kyiv. This is one of my friends, Bogdan, he is trying to boil water for tea on rubbing alcohol (unsure how you even do that???) - Ukrainians, man.

Cooking dinner under a flashlight due to no electricity.
