The Russian invasion completely changes perspective. At first, it is difficult to focus on anything but the news. You’re afraid to shower as a missile attack could happen at any time. A friend told me not to worry as the bathroom doesn’t have any windows. Little did I know, the bathroom was going to become my full-time office during air raid sirens in Kyiv. My family and I spent some nights in a parking garage that served as a bomb shelter. I adopted a kitten that was born on the first days of the Russian invasion, a kitten that now shares office hours with me in the bathroom.
