Svitlana Braklavska

PR specialist at AskGrowers

As air raids sound in the city, I work in my candle-lit bathtub. I am a PR specialist at AskGrowers, while also raising money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine – where my boyfriend currently serves. I work on my phone or laptop until the batteries run out. Because power is unpredictable, I leave a spare battery for communication with loved ones. I often travel to other parts of town to get enough electricity to work.

At my apartment, I have stashed chemical protection suits, gas masks, 10 liters of drinking water, protein bars, a radio, a flashlight, batteries, and polyurethane foam to close the flow of air near the pipeline. Having these items gives me the confidence I need to take care of myself in case of disaster.
